Present Background Occupation: Creator of and lead designer for 'Sun, Surf and Snow', an extreme sportswear company. Finance: Well off. History: Born in Denver, Colorado to Simon and Elsa Chapiro, Adrian's upbringing was nothing too out of the ordinary; his family had money and he was kept comfortably, albeit without much interaction with his parents. His father was working whenever he wasn't sleeping and his mother found her pleasure in climbing the social ladder, rarely finding time to spend with her young son; well, there were parties to plan and engagements to attend, weren't there? As such, Ade quickly became quite self-sufficient and realised that, unlike many of his friends who suffered under the ever-watchful eye of their parents, he had the freedom to do exactly what he wanted. Of course, this all changed when, at the age of 14, his refusal to get on with his schoolwork and slightly off-the-wall behavior meant he was sent to a boarding school, where eyes were everywhere and that freedom very swiftly disappeared. Still, he made the most of it and charmed enough of the teachers that he could still have some fun. Even at a young age, Ade showed a flair for art (and not just because it was one of the only classes where he could be persuaded to shut up and sit still) and, as his school career progressed, he determined that he'd found his calling in fashion. Of course, his parents weren't exactly overjoyed by this decision -- they'd decided before he was even out of the womb that he'd do something sensible and worthwhile, like become a doctor or a lawyer. As such, they weren't exactly forthcoming with cash in helping him find his feet and, for the first time in his life, Ade had to pull himself up by his bootstraps and make a name for himself; he'd never realised he'd been spoilt until he found himself in New York, living off ramen noodles and dividing his time between designing and sewing in his tiny apartment and desperately trying to get his name out there. Slowly but surely, his work started to be recognised and he found himself creating one-off pieces for people, landing himself a few, small shows and, eventually, scraping together enough money to buy a larger studio where he could live and work without being constantly buried under reams of fabric and paper. In time, he found himself working on the bottom rung of various design companies, dragging himself up the ladder (and indulging in the fashion world's party scene) until, by the age of 31, he felt he knew the trade well enough and had the contacts that would allow him to start his own company, 'Sun, Surf and Snow'. Of course, the ride that came before that was bumpy and he had a fair few problems along the way. Drinking and drugs were all part of the scene and, at the age of 29, he'd found himself involved in a few inebriated liasons with a woman named Sylvie Miller. One of which led, nine months later, to the birth of his son, David Miller. Who he only knew of when he was already kicking, screaming and three months old. Completely taken aback by this turn of events, he made the mistake of running and throwing himself further into the lifestyle, realising only too late that this course of action had led Sylvie to decide once and for all that he wasn't exactly Dad of the Year material and deny him access to his son. Since then, he's seen his son all of three times, though he pays child support and sends cards and letters throughout the year which he can only hope Sylvie chooses to pass on. He's now based in Boulder, though his work means he travels a fair amount. Still, the skiers and snowboarders who visit Colorado are some of the main market for his clothes and he has no intention as yet of moving. Appearance In Brief: Standing at 6'0, he is somewhat physically imposing, mostly thanks to the fact he takes care of himself and keeps in good shape with exercise. Ade is aware he looks his age, his hair speckled with grey and a few lines on his face, but he wears them as a badge of honor for the life he's led.
